PSNet Ice

When you need to use international or accented characters on your computer, you do have a few options.

Microsoft Word symbols window

Microsoft Word lets you access the Symbols window, and you can even specify shortcuts for commonly used keys.

That is, of course, if you know how, and have time to figure it out.

Or, you can simply put some Ice on it...

System tray icon After installing Ice, simply double-click the system tray icon near the clock, and click the character you want as you type. That's all. Ice toolbar

Ice is ready to let you type in French without any configuration, and can easily be customized to use other languages.

When you're done typing in a foreign language, simply close the Ice character toolbar until you're ready to use it once again.

Usage Notes

If you use a non-English keyboard layout, then Ice may not work properly. However, if you're using such a keyboard layout, then you probably don't need a program like Ice anyway.
